Hi Tom, and thanks for your reply.

When I purchased the Vorsetzer, the Technician fitted the optional recording unit. The unit did record OK but this feature was only used very infrequently. I went to use the record feature again probably several years after the initial install and it did not work. I just never did anything about it. In the previous post I mentioned acquiring a Pianocorder that had been removed from an upright piano. I borrowed an installation manual and installed this unit myself in the family's 1903 Lipp
upright. The recording feature of this unit does not work. By the time I had acquired it, it had been stored in less than ideal conditions.

I will try your suggestions.
