Roger: Thanks very much for the information. I will give your suggestions a try. You are correct, the red indicator near the fine tuning control is glowing. Is there some meaning for this red light. I just assumed that it was a power on indicator. Does it have some other use?

I tried playing the tape again today and saw what appeared to be many of the keys move down all at once for a very brief time. There was the sound of multiple keys being hit at once and this only lasted a split second - kind of like playing a 16th note. This didn't happen any more after that one time. That made me wonder if perhaps the only tape I have is bad. I will try and get more tapes. Thanks again for your input.
