Hi Mark,

thank you for the fast feedback. I don't think that the driver boards are affected, playing a song plays solenoids in all 3 regions (low, mid, high). The tape recorder indicates via the Sync LED that at least the circuit part on the playback board for the syncronisation works well. My guess is that the decoding of the frames which holds the note information is somehow affected because you can somehow identify the song out of the mess that is played. What i will try is to detach the driver boards one by one to check if one of it affects the playback board. Is there a region on the playback board where the frame decoding happens?
