You would be better off just decoding the Pianocorder signal directly on the Arduino. The format is well-documented. You just need to square up the biphase signal to 0-5V and read it with a digital input of the Arduino. There is not much good content in either of the formats you're looking to decode. It would be a better use of your time to improve your playback system to achieve soft play, good repetition, and proportional/incremental pedaling from better quality MIDI sources.
