Currently, Pianocorder tapes turn up every few weeks on eBay and are sometimes offered by posters to this web forum.

Until earlier this year, QRS Music (http://www.qrsmusic.com) was selling dubs of the original Marantz cassettes under license from Yamaha, but they no longer carry these anymore. I'm not aware of any commercial sites selling Pianocorder cassettes, though a few technicians probably have tapes available in limited quantities.

Be warned- a major problem with buying used Pianocorder cassettes that are typically 15-20 years old is that the oxide binder in the tape itself starts to break down, making the tapes stick and squeal in the player. Another problem frequently seen in old Pianocorder tapes is that the felt pressure pads that press the tape against the playback head tend to fall off and must be replaced.

Instead of trying to find tapes for purchase, I would strongly suggest looking into the system I developed to control your Pianocorder using your computer. This allows you to play MIDI files as well as archival computer files of the original cassettes. It works great and opens up a whole new world of music for your piano. For more information on this system, please visit this page.
