Date Posted: 16:14:25 12/17/03 Wed In my pianocorder, I have removed the cassette player physical from the unit and have wired a CD player directly to the PC board of the cassette deck. The pickup head on the cassette has three wires, a white, red and black ground. I unsoldered the pickup head from the pc board pins and soldered a audio cable directly to the pins which in turn plugs into the CD player. Thus I have elimated the magnetic pickup part of inputting the signal onto the pc board. The question I have for somebody out there is, is this bad for the electronics on the pc board to go directly from the cd player to the pins? Or do I have to use the magnetic pickup head?
