Subject: *lights a candle in Memory of Lockie* 1st Nov 2002 Author: Syn [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: Thu, Oct 30 2003, 10:53pm In Memory of Matt Martin 4th July 1974 - 1st November 2002 Our dear Friend & Guildmate, Lockie passed away nigh on a year ago. I still miss my friend; such was the impact he had on my life. But these days I remember the adventures we shared, with a warm smile rather than a tear. I invite you all to call into the Darkstone Tavern to visit his Memorial. Perhaps take a moment to re-read the books that are there. They speak volumes about the type of guy he was. So even if you didnt know him, you may get a small insight of who he was. I spoke to Lockies Dad by email & he gave me permission to scan & host the real life Tributes to Lockie. For me personally, these Tributes to Matt only confirm to me that he was the same man ingame as he was in real life. So for those of us who only knew him in this "virtual world" you can learn a little more about the man behind the pixels. Also, maybe you would like to see the flash movie again. It really shows what fun he was to be with. In Lockies honour, Troublemaker, Grizzly Adams & I will hold a hunt with a difference on Saturday (1st Nov) at 9pm. Before we leave there will be the opportunity for those of you who would like to light a candle & have it locked down at his memorial. You can also leave a book to go with it. Please try to join us on Saturday at 9pm (Sydney daylight savings time) Lockie always loved any of the events we had, so come share some laughter, comraderie & the adventure. I am sure he rides with us. Disclaimer : This is a kinda special hunt & we wont run it unless we have 8-10 ppl to come along. We will postpone it for when we have a good show of ppl online.
