I am actually impressed with Bono's view on "religion". The early Christians did NOT "join" churches filled with icons and did NOT compromise by accepting pagan practices. The first Christians were pure, simple and it hurts my soul (the Holy Spirit within it?) to see TBN (so-called Christian television) at the forefront of Christianity. TBN is ugly. Religion is ugly. Give me 1. The Holy Spirit. 2. The word of God and 3. Fellowship with likeminded Christians. Life is good - life is simple!
