i can't really compare cause i don't need glasses but my sister does. she's had them since bout 4th grade. she has to where them all the time and she hated them. she would "forget" them when she went to school. she couldn’t see the board or anything and her grades started slipping. please don't make the same mistake. in 8th she got contacts so now she has a choice. try the glasses for a while. if you really don't like them ask about contacts. when you get older you could even get laser surgery. you have plenty to complain about but probably not as much as you think. glasses can look nice if you find some that work for you. in fact one of my other sisters wears fake glasses! she likes how they look on her so now she acts like she needs them. you'd be surprised how fast people get used to seeing you in them. people really arn't very observative. you can chop off all your hair and people are like "are you wearing a new shirt? you look kinda different" don't flip now, when you find out you're going blind you can flip but glasses will help you see better- try to think of it as your upgrade

(i know i sound like a counsler but i have nothing better to do then give advice that is really hard to follow)
