Hey!

I've been drowning all right. In books and horrible articles. More exams. This seems to be happening a lot these days.

Something is still amiss (amyss? abyss? damn). Europe is going to be a rain forest soon at this rate. Or a very big lake. Come visit us before we get extinct. Norway is the up-and-coming Sahara desert it seems. Very nice so far actually, the only people suffering are the strawberry farmers up north. The strawberrys got ripe a month before usual, and so they couldn't get any illegal, cheap immigrants to pick them in time. Everything rotted away. Pretty embarrassing to the farmers, I imagine, since they always pretend to use legal work force.

More red scare (I'm easily frightened): doesn't it spook anyone over there that team W. are pretty much isolating USA politically from the rest of the world? Is it an issue in american mass media? The Kyoto environmental (dis-)agreement, the middle east, the work against the ICC international human rights court, taking peacekeeping operations "hostage"... the list goes on. The trend lately has been sharp disagreement between USA and the rest of the west/world in international issues, with USA proceeding to ignore the rest and push their will through anyway. From outside it resembles the biggest kid in class who's bullying everybody else, and they pretend to like him because he's sporting the biggest thermonuclear weapons...

This better not become a new cold war, George, or I'm comin over to shoot rubberbands at your nose. Yeeeeah!
