My god it's gorgeous right now. Could be it's because norwegians're used to shovelling snow from their doors on the 17th of may (our national day, and thus the one day of the year most likely to snow), not having 85 degrees F for several weeks, but heat sure has some nice sides to it. Whatever Bush is doing for/against the environment: we love it so far, keep up the bad work!

Yesterday, I walked with my parents to their mountain cabin, which is nicely positioned in the middle of a swamp, where all the mosquitoes usually hatch. But the eternal fog had been replaced with sun, the swamp was completely dried out, and the mosquitoes were extinct. We went swimming in a streamy river with waterfalls and the water wasn't even the slightest painfully cold. Spectacular, I say!

Too bad my bank account is as dry as the swamp, I'm reluctantly beginning work tomorrow. More guarding the mentally tormented. But other than that, feel free to envy me. :)
