Subject: Ahhh, Internet access. *happy dance*

You never appreciate how much you take electricity, and all the nice convenient and comfy technology that comes with it, for granted. Until, of course, you're without it for a few days.

No lights, air conditioning, refrigeration, alarm clock, TV, or internet. Total information withdrawal, because I don't get the paper. I now realize why people used to go to bed with the sun: because you can light a dozen candles and several oil lamps, and STILL not be able to see well enough to do shit else.

BGE estimates that everything will be back up by Friday. Of course, I should be grateful that we've only lost the contents of fridge and freezer...others have lost their entire houses and everything in them, their cars, their businesses. Some of those people didn't have insurance (major oops there).

But dammit, I'm still gonna be pissed when (not if) the power's still off when I go home tonight, because cleaning out my fridge by candlelight while the houses behind me bask in their nice bright electric lighting is not tops of my list for fun. >_<
