Well if everyone actually took some interest in other bands (especially people in bands) then maybe out of town bands would think we have a good scene. the thing is bigger names are expensive and generally require riders etc which bumps up the cost but if anyone would like to say which 5 bands they would most like to see then i can get a better idea about what anyone wants to see(as i haven't yet seen any suggestions, just minor complaints).
another point i would like to make is that the promoters of all these big shows/tours are ONLY!!interested in your money and not about who the band are or what kind of music they play, but nobody seems to slag them or other venues off.
At least i am doing it for what i feel are the right reasons and would like to thank those that have understood that and shown some support. But if we are to have bigger shows there needs to be big support such as last nights excellent gig at Moriarty's, i mean it was pitiful that no one in the "scene" showed up to A) Support Pete's band"ZERO 1" & B) see DISTORTION on saturday for FREE!!!, i mean it's got to be worth checking a band out when it's not costing anything, i thought both bands were excellent on saturday but i know they may have been not everyones cup of tea but for fuck's sake it was free.
