It starts with one,
a simple desire
guaranteed to grow
from want to need it'll flow
how it'll end I don't know

It starts with one
a boy to grow to a man
learning his lessons,
trial and error
fleeing in urgency
and suddenly stopping for one

a girl to mature to a woman
learning independance from day one
sink or swim
fighting for all she wants
and stopping just to pick up one

It starts with one
one to meet another
you'll get two
love of ages
inseperable and yet apart
one dies inside
suddenly it ends
