After giving her a grooming, i clipped on her lead rope and led her outside. she was walking quite well on the lead rope now, because i had been working wiht boht her and Legend on the lead rope each day. (i'd lead them both around the stable yeard for half an hhour or so each day, and to and from their paddocks during the day). i took her to the schooling ring and lunged fher for a little while, until she had had a little exercise. i then got out the saddle pad, that she had ebcome quite used to now, and carelessly threw it onto her back, to test her willingness. she barely oved so i patted her then put on the girth. i did it up loosely at first, then lunged her, did it up tighter and then lunged her and then even tighter, perhpas a little looser than you would ride with, and then lunged her again. next i fastened a light bag of stuff on her bakc, to get her used to a little weight, and then i lunged her again. she seemed to be having no problems with this so i put something a little more heavier on her back. she took this really well, and after taking a few mins to adjust to this weight, she returned her strides to normal. i smiled and brought her back in, removed all of her gear and praised her for being able to break so easily. i then turned her out for the afternoon.
