I gave my Arabian mare a groom and led her out to the saddling area. I saddled her and then mounted. I walked her to the indoor arena, where I had set up several jumps of between 3’-4’ in height. I warmed her up and then cantered her over the four jumps. I jumped her over them again and again, working on her jumping form, her strides and her takeoffs. She was working quite well and having very little difficulty with the height of the jumps. I schooled her over these for the next hour and before I cooled her down, I rode her into one of the outdoor arenas where a full show jumping course had been set up. I started my timer and jumped her over these. She had no faults and absolutely no problem with any of the takeoffs, all being at the exact right time. We completed the course in great time and I then cooled her down. I dismounted, hosed her down in the washbay and then turned her out with her new foal for the rest of the day.
