I slipped into his stall and gave him a groom. I saddled him up in a full saddle and led him to the training ring. I lunged him for about 15 mins until he was warmed up and exercised. I brought him to a halt. I got my friend Alice, to walk over to him and when he had grown used to her, she lent on the side of the saddle. He took a few steps to the side but then stood still. Alice then slid onto the saddle putting her entire weight on the saddle. Legend had done this before so he was not afraid and stood still. Alice sat up properly in the saddle and we waited for Legend to adjust to this. I then held the side of his halter and led hem around the ring a few time at a walk, so Legend would grow use to having a rider on huis back as he moved. After a few circles I praised him, Alice dismounted and I gave him a carrot. I unsaddled him and turned him out for the afternoon.
