I walked down the aisle way to Prides's stall. The pretty filly looked over the stall door and nickered to me. I hurried up my pace and opened the stall door. I stepped inside with my grooming kit. I groomed her slowly, taking my time and making sure she was sparkling. Then I used and old rag to rub her coat untill it shined. Then I gave her a pat and went to get her tack. I tacked up the filly and led her toward the outdoor arena where we were going to practice lengthening and shortening her stride.
First I warmed her up at a posting trot. Then I gave her the command to lengthen her stride. She did it perfectly. We tried that a couple more times and then I asked her to shorten her stride. She did that perfectly too. Then I urged her into a canter. We headed toward the first jump. "5,4,3,2," and then right on "1" she soared ever it. She did the rest of the course great. I cooled her out and untacked her. I put her in her stall with a flake of hay. I walked up to my truck and climbed into it. I started the enginge. I was know going horse shopping.
