Appeal was much naughtier! All she wanted to do was run to the otherside of the field. I saw Spring chase her back and hold Appeal there until I could catch her. Appeal was pretty angry at her, only she didn't nip, she knew it was time to be sold again-but she was WRONG! I took her into the arena and she nipped me on the shoulder. I turned around and bit her on the top of her ear (That is the tactic my riding teacher taught me). She through her head and squeeled. I took the lunge whip and got her trotting into a cirlce, at least until she was calmed down. I then did the same "joining up" tactic on her and she simmered down- just a little. I tied an pony-sized english saddle pad on her back as gently as I could. She tried to nip me, but she got a elbow in her lower jaw. I held a firm lead to her until I got far enough away. When I flipped the whip behind her-she erupted like a volcano. I saw something silver fly through the air and land behind me. I reeled Appeal in tightly and went over.
"APPEAL! You lost ANOTHER shoe! GOSH! The farrier won't like it one bit!"
I decided to put her up and try again tomorrow, but put her in the stable and warn Helen. I looked at my watch. It was now 12:30, time for lunch.

After a grilled chicken salad for lunch- I quickly went back to the stables. Eagle was looking at me over the stall door when I stepped in.
"Hey girl!" Helen smiled.
"Hey! Can you help me brake Eagle her to a rider? I need to hurry up, because my daughter told me to!"
Helen laughed-and said she would.
I put the saddle on him and quickly got all the energy out of him by lunging him. I then "joined-up" with him, and he trusted me firmly, because he had been with me for a long time.
"Okay here we go."
Helen took his lead rope and I gently put one foot in the sturrup. He responded by trying to buck, but Helen held him firmer than ever. Putting half my weight, he went beserk! He twisted and jumped. I didn't scream, but jumped off. He instanly stopped.
"Well, that was a good day with him!" I was shaking in my knees.
"You're giving up?!" Helen looked at me funny.
"I've worked hard on being able to brake him-but he keeps getting wilder."
"Here, you can keep him under control more-you're joined at the hip-literaly!" She laughed as Eagle nuzzled me.
"Okay, here we go!"
She was skilled at breaking to a rider, and I was skilled at keeping wild horses quiet. Together-we had him walking slowly with half-weight over his back.
"Now that was a good horse!"
"Yep."
"Now, I'm going to get out my other horses and ride them.
"Good, well I'm going home-I got up earlier than usual today."
"Bye Helen."
"Bye!"

Will continue later!
