"Beep, Beep, Beep!" My alarm went off and I got up and threw on a pair of jodhpurs and a blue hooded sweatshirt. I walked to the next door to check on the baby and sure enough she was sound asleep. Mike was still asleep so I left him a note on the kitchen table and walked down to the barn. I walked into the feed room and washed out all of the feed buckets. Then I filled them each with the right amount of grain and put them in each of my horses stalls. When I got too Jersey's stall the pretty fillys ears perked up and she nickered at me. I stroked her neck while she ate and then I went to the tackroon the get Honor and Pride's halters. I went into Honor stall and the pretty filly threw up her head out of my reach. I threw the leadrope over her neck and coaxed her to bring it down. I quickly put the halter on and led her out of the stall. I put her in the nearest paddock and then went and got all my other horses and put them in the paddocks. I started the chore of cleaning out stalls. When I was done I brought all the horses in and started grooming Jersey and tacked her up.
I led her by the reins to the indoor arena and mounted up. I walked the filly around the arena a few times. I urged her into a trot. I posted and after a couple of laps I urged her into a canter. Their were already some low oxers set up so I took her over those. After a couple more laps on that course I cooled her out and led her back to the barn. I took of her bridle and put on her halter, she nuzzled my shoulder and I scratched the star on her forhead. I countinued to untack her when Mike came into the barn. I checked my watch and noticed it was only 9:30.
"Good morning," I called down the aisle. He looked up and I saw the baby radio clipped onto his jeans. "Hey Chris," I stepped out of the stall and he came up to give me a kiss. "So," he started " I'll exersize Courage, Pride, and Honor." "Ok I said so that leaves me with Jersey and Tally." We both headed to groom our horses.
I had just picked up Tally 2 days ago. She was a sweet horse. I groomed her and tacked her up. I mounted riding my new horse the first time. She walked around the arena and I urged her into a trot. Her trot was really smooth. Then I urged her into a slow canter. Tally threw her head up and I noticed that I was holding the reins a little too tight. I loosened them and brought her down to a walk. I dismounted and went to put her away. When we were walking back to the barn Tally nuzzled my hair. I smiled up at the filly and gave her a hug. I put her away and then cleaned the tack.

2 HOURS LATER!

I walked into Lana's room and picked the crying baby up. I changed her diaper and feed her and then put her in the play pen. Mike came in the kitchen door. His hair was wrinkled and he had mud all over his clothes, yet he smiled at me. " Courage spooked and threw me!" "Is he alright?" I asked worried. "Yeah he's fine, I am going to take a shower," and he headed upstairs.

RIGHT BEFORE DINNER

I was making a salad when all of a sudden I heard a frightened whinny from outside. I threw down the knife grabbed a jacket and headed out side. Their was a storm happening and it was probably scaring the horses. I ran inside the barn and saw Courage rearing and the other horses completely horrofied. I went up to Courages stall and he calmed down after I talked to him. I stayed in the barn for an hour untill the storm stopped. I fed the horses and went up to the house to eat my dinner.
"Hey honey, what happened, I finished making dinner. Thank gosh the chicken took longer than we thought." He smiled. " The horses got kind of scared of the storm." I answered. We started eating dinner.
