As I walked into the barn I decided to give TC the day off. I got Courage's stuff out and brought him into the barn.
I groomed him and tacked him up. I lead him out to the ring.
I checked the girth and mounted. We walked for a bit before trotting. I worked on Courage's bending, we did lots of circles, serpintines, and figuire 8s. When I got him bending good(which took awhile)I let him walk and catch his breath. Then we cantered. We cantered half ring circles. I then let him walk. I dismounted and put a pole in the diagonal path of the ring so I could begin to teach him flying lead changes. I remounted and we trotted over the first pole. Courage hopped over it. We trotted the last part of the eight and down over the pole. Another hop. I asked Courage to canter. we cantered toward the pole. right as his front feet left the ground I asked him to change leads. He was a bit confused so after he landed from the pole he did a quick simple change in a trot step. I tried the other direction. The same thing happened. I called it quits for theat day and cooloed him out. I led him into the barn and untacked him. I gave him a treat and turned him out into his paddock. I put away my riding stuff. I then groomed TC,Sparkle,Sassy, and Dutchess. Dutchess had a foal over night. I cleaned out all of the paddocks and scrubbed my horse's water tubs. I watered them and worked with Sassy abit. Then I went home.
