I went down to the barn. I looked at all my empty stables. I had sold quite alot of my horses when i was ill and they could not be worked. Now i only had my best top class horses left. I did not mind. Today i was going to ride again for the first time. Today i was going to ride Lucky again. I was worried about her. All mal had done with them is take all of them on a hack. I did not know what reaction Lucky would have if i tried to jump her again. Any way, i put that thought to the back of my mind and i went to find Halo's stall. When i found her she winnied softly to me. I gave her a pat and i tacked her up. I led her into the indoor dressage ring because it was raining. I mounted and warmed her up. Then we went though some of the 5th level dressage test but halo started struggling so i just went though the 4th one with her today as she had not been ridden propaly for so long. When i had finished i gave her a realy big pat and i let her out into her field. Next i went and tacked up Raven. She was realy well behaved. I led her into the jumping ring. Raven was doing so well with her dressage that i had desided to teach her how to jump. I mounted her and she started dancing around. She was excited because she was in a new place. I told her to walk on and she gave a few playfull bucks before she did. So i asked her for halt again. This time when i asked her for walk she troted. I told her to calm down and she went back to walk. After a few laps round (and raven spooking at a stone) i asked her to trot. She troted round and when we got to the corner i asked her to canter. After her canter she was being well behaved. I was about to ask her to trot walk but she had other ideas. She did a very fast canter towards one of the 2" jumps. I tried as hard as i could to pull her out of the way put it did not make any efect. I was ammazed when i fwlt her ajust her stride below me. She took off perfectly and she cleared the jump wonderfully. After that i got off in amazment. No horse i have ever seen has been able to jump first time. I desided to get someones help on this. So i untacked Raven and went to tack up baby. It had stopped raining now and the sun was coming though the clouds. Baby stood nicely while put her bridle on, so i gave her a mint because she has only just got out of her habit of prancing around. So i have been rewarding her when she has behaved. I mounted baby and i walked her down the drive. I have never taken out on the trails bare back because she used to be frightened of cars. But now she was over that so i was going to ride her down to the beach. When we got to the beach i let baby have her head. She galloped as fast as her legs could carry her down the beach. I could feel her mothers race horse power below me. Eventialy i pulled her up and i walked her back home. I Led Doll to the lunging arena. I gave her a light lunge and then i worked on leading her over the troting poles. She would be 4 soon so i am starting her pre-jumping training. After we had finished I went to see lucky. I groomed her and tacked her up. I walked her into the jumping ring and i put all the jumps at 3". I warmed lucky up and then i asked her to go to the first jump. She reared and then went round the jump. I tried 5 more times but she would not go over the jump. I dismounted and wraped my arms around her neck. I told her how sorry i was for pushing her. Even though she could not understand me she must have trusted me more after that. When i took her round to the jump this time she jumped it. I gave her a realy big pat and i left it there for today. Next I tacked up kim. I dodged her teeth as she tried to bite me when i mounted. We rode into the all perpose ring. Kim suddenly started bucking and rearing. I got her to calm down and i set her off at a walk. When i had warmed her up ect i just walked her round. I could tell kim was very nervous so i am going to work with her slowly untill she gains my trust. So i took her back into her stable and i gave her a good groom. Next i called Amanda, Staci, Kimmy, Clara and Jamie.
"Right you lot i need Staci to ride Candi, Amanda to ride Amy and Jamie to ride Lilly. I will ride Silky Halo."
"Ok" They all said
So when everyone had mounted we all went out on to the trails and all the mares we took out were realy well behaved, even the younger ones like silky halo because it was her first time. When i got home I untacked Silky and went inside for my tea. I will ride all my colts and stallions tomorrow.
