I quickly tacked up Sparkle and lead her out to the ring. I only had a half of an hour till Courage, my new quarter horse, would be here. I walked, troted and cantered Sparkle
around. We did lots of circles. After riding for about 15 min. I cooled Sparkle off. I then put her in her stall and promised I'd ride her more later. I gave her a treat and then checked on Dutchess. Dutchess was standing in the corner of her stall. She was definately showing that she was pregnant. "Wow Dutchess. Your huge!" I said. "You still have 2 days to go!" Just then a horse trailer pulled in.
I went out and said hi to the driver. I had already bought Courage a halter and lead so I went in the trailer and put them on him. The driver lowered the ramp and I lead out
my shiny new stallion. "Hello boy. Do you like your new home?" I asked him. He whinnied a loud and authoritive whinny, like he was telling everyone that he was there.
I lead him in to his stall. While he was settling down I told the driver that I would post the check. With a wave he drove away. I then left to let Courage settle in. I would come back later to ride Sparkle, graze Dutchess, and maybe even start training Courage.
