i walked into the barn and began to groom Courage. i then tacked him up and lead hi out to the ring bringing my lunge line with me. I longed Courage for 5 or 10 min. before i mounted him. He didn't freak out at the mounting block to today i thought to myself. After walking him for a couple of min. i sat up and calmly asked him to trot. His reaction was what I thought it would be. he troted as fast as he could possibly trot without breaking to a canter. I did a sitting trot to help slow him down. After a little while he stoled his trot down to a nice working trot. As he did this a praised him a patted him to let him know he was being good. we then walked for a few min. and then reversed and troted. This time he picked up the trot nicely, not to fast and not to slow. "Good boy Courage! Your so smart!" I told him. He bobbed his head up and down in agrreance. i then cooled him off and untacked him. I let him have some grass
and then put him away. I groomed Sparkle and tacked her up next. i warmed her up both directions before I jumped her.
I asked her to jump a couple of cross rails before I raised them up to verticals. We jumped a 2'9'' course ok. She chiped at one fence and had a bad spot on a few fences. She was good and she was tired so i cooled her off and put her away. I groomed Dutchess and took her on a walk. "Just think girl, only 1 more day of waddling around like this. Tomorrow you have your foal." I told her. Dutchess looked miserable. She didn't even want any grass. I put her in her stall and said good bye to all my horses. I then went home.
