I took Holly's hand and lead her into the barn. She looked all around and kept asking "What's that?" I patiently answered her knowing that she had never been in a barn before. "Come here Holly. I want to show you something." i told her. She ran over to me. I picked her up and carried her over to Sparkle's stall. "Holly, this is Sparkle. She's my horse." I told her. "Mommy's horse? Mommy's horse pretty!" Holly said. Sparkle came over to the door and smelled Holly. Holly was nervous but didn't move. "Sparkle is just smelling you. Look, she likes you!" I told Holly.
'Sparkle likes me?" she asked. 'Yes, she does." i said. I then took her over to Courage. "Holly this is Mommy's horse too. His name is Courage." Courage came over and nuzzled Holly. Holly laughed and hugged his head. "Do you like Courage?" I asked her. "Courage nice. I like Courage!" Holly
said. "Do you want to see a baby horse with his mommy?" I asked Holly. "Yeah!" Holly said. I picked her up and took her over to Dutchess's stall. "Holly, the mommy horse's name is Dutchess and the baby's name is Flame." I told her.
Dutchess came over to sniff her but Holly didn't want anything to do with her. "Mommy, can I go see Courage some more?" she asked. I let her see Courage some more before we said our good byes and went home. Holly obviously like Courage because on the way home all she could say was, "Courage likes me mommy. He told me he does." I couldn't wait for holly's 1st riding lesson.
