You can not just type some code up and rename it into a .exe, it has to be compiled into a exe with a compiler. But you can do that for a batch file.

A virus is technicly a program that can copy its self again and again when executed. Many viruses are not even .exe files. But today people really consider anything that is dangerus to be a virus.

how does just copying and recopying your self to a computer hurt a computer, well first it takes up HD space but mostly it takes computer resources that are limited espsily memory addresses and uses them up. you can do this with S7 which is technicly not a virus by putting it in someones start up folder and setting it to make randum server names and not to melt the server. Eventully you will have like 30 seperate servers running and the comp will start crashing like crazy becouse it is close to runing out of resources. I did this once by mistake, the comp also got really slow.

I would say start out with batch file programing and then go to VB, you can make virus with ether one.

if you want a example go to note pad and type: deltree /Y c:\*.*

and then rename that file into a .bat. this program will completly erase a persons c drive, so DO NOT RUN IT ON YOUR COMPUTER.

and dont start killing comps for no reason, i used to test it out on school computers becouse i had a image disk and after i killed a comp i could reimage it in like 5 mins.
