The Cavern
The main cavern is the biggest (in exception to the Dragon Wing, of corse)cave in the Colony. It is where a lot of Roleplaying is done. Festivities and such will be held here. Dragons are not allowed, for the sake of space. The only dragons permitted in the Cavern are the Council's dragons, who should only be there for Council buisness.

Alchemy galore -- Korin, 20:11:50 02/04/06 Sat
Korin stretches back.After food like that,he felt like making something different.Korin got up and started looking around the cavern and gathers the rare mushrooms he had come for:some tigpie mushroom,Gloranus,and then the rarest type:pygmie glyph mushroom.he looked it up and down in awe.this was the key ingredient to the potion that was said to heal any and every aspect of nature at once.he noticed the pygmie glyph mushroom had nature runes glowing on it.the Gloranus mushroom however,flashed a bright green.he gazed in awe at the three ingredients to the potion of nature.Eagerly,Korin started to grind the mushrooms together.he added some water from the ocean,then some Winterspring water from his homeland.Korin mixed these,then sat down to nap.it would be six days before the potion was ready.

She wore a large broad sword buckled at her waist. Her clothing was made of thick, brown leather. Her long blonde hair was messy and she had a hardened look to her. Korin pulled out his alchemy kit.He loved mixing different potions to make stronger ones.But tonight he simply took out his fire potion.He dug a hole in the ground,placed some wood in it,and dropped the fire potion inside.The fire lit almost instantly.He dropped a few more drops of heat potion and oxygen potion to help the fire get going.then he put his alchemy kit away and pulled out some fresh meat from the deer he had caught on Molgoth out,then took off a leg.he put the deer away,and began cooking it.

Korin walked over to a large tomb that he had dug in the center of the cave.brushing his medium sized hair back,the elf looked for the tombstone,and found it.there it read:this is the grave of the dragon Tenchiron,whose rider was Korin of the DawnBreakers.Korin sighs deeply,then exits the cavern and gets on his new dragon Molgoth.He picks up his staff and almost left,but then got off the dragon.He dismissed it and it flew back to the dragon wing.Korin fingered the small wooden whistle shaped like a dragon and slipped it into his pack.he then set up camp.

Jerana sat off to the side as she watched the people around her converse, play, eat, and make fun. In her lap was a sketchbook. Her hand held a pencil delicately as she traced soft lines and daring angles. She loved drawing the world around and had worked hard to get to her level of ability.

Her life-like drawings were her pride and joy. She glanced up, her blue eyes alighting on her subject, a mother and child enjoying a midmorning snack. She smiled, her lips drifting into a gentle crescent.

As she glanced toward the Cavern's open mouth she glimpsed the shadow of a dragon flying overhead. One day, she thought. One day I will meet my partner. Then I can fly too.

A young boy wanders into the Cavern. He is about 9 years old, and scrawny for his age. There's a smudge of dirt on his cheek and more smudges on his bare arms, mingled with a couple scratches, some old, some new. His clothes are faded and somewhat ragged, and they're somewhat loose, being hand-me-downs, but at least they're serviceable.

He glances around, bored and looking 'for something to do'...a phrase that can be loosely translated to mean 'mischief'.

Amaris lightly walked through the cavern, pointed ears picking up the sounds, and sensitive nose the familiar smells.Her boots made a soft clicking sound as she walked down the length of the nearest wall, hair midnight black hair bouncing slightly at each step. As she neared a corner she spotted an empty chair and helped herself to it. She leaned back and stretched her legs a little, crossing on ankle over the other. Her emerald orbs scanned the Cavern as she searched for someone she might know or be able to talk with as she absentmindedly played with her necklace.

:: Ah... well, here I am. Removing her slender hands from her pockets, she let her long arms hang down by her sides as she continued to walk into the Cavern, her booted feet thudding softly upon the ground as her light azure orbs took in her surroundings. She was dressed simply, but even the simpleness of it looked rather nice upon her slender frame. A thin white shirt with a leather bodice that laced in the front was the only thing covering her upper half, while black pants protected the lower part of her body. Soft leather boots fitted snugly over her feet ::

:: Reaching up a hand to tuck a few of her silken raven tresses behind one of her pointed ears, she let a soft sigh escape from her lips as she continued to search for one of her friends. Where were they? Hiding in a cave somewhere? She had already searched the living quarters for any sign of anybody that she was close to, and to no avail. Of course, the elven maiden could only remind herself that she normally kept to herself, and herself alone, but still, she did had a few close friends, and it was them that she was in dire need of at the moment. (OOC: Hey guys, I'm finally back. Sorry for the big delay. I think, because I have so much free time in college, I'll begin to post stuff here again.)

Arcus stumbled into the cavern, His face hardened and pale, eyebrows drawn down so that his eyes were only slits. He carried his sword in hand, blood dripping slowly off the open blade. Mud and filth caked his long black hair into dirty dreadlocks, and also covered his armour. His right shoulder was cut and badly bleeding. He struggled to stand, leaning on his sword, but then, he collapsed on the floor from loss of blood.

She then pulled out a bowl and crusher, with several assortments of powders. "Could somebody get me some water, clean water? Please?" - Rustam, surrounded by the sudden crowd of girls, is feeling a little left out of things and very useless. He stands around a little helplessly on the edge of the group of girls, not quite sure whether he should get out of the way or stick around in case they need something. - Raven shrugs as Miirielhael runs off, saved from having to find a healer herself. She speaks upward to Catica. "I think we will be fine. The healer should have enough bandages with them." - Suddenly coming from the direction that Miirielhael went, a healer rushes in, nearly at a run. He retrieves his healing stone from the pouch around his neck as he nears, saying "Give me some room, give me some room." as he makes his way to Arcus's side. Setting down a small bag, he does a quick look up and down Arcus's body, and quickly spots the piece of orc axe still embedded in Arcus's side. His brow furrows in concentration, and he readies his stone, for he knows that the moment it's removed, the bleeding with get very bad very fast, yet it clearly can't remain there for any length of time. Furrowing his brow in concentration, he removes the blade piece and begins using his healing stone in one movement, trying to be as quick as possible so that the damage is lessened. - The small halfling looks up at all of the concerned faces around Arcus. She thinks that this a wonderful place that all these people care about this man even though some of them don't know him. - Oricon leaves her stuff by arcus and walks quickly to catch up with Rustam. Seeing the downcast look on his face she begins to talk to him. "I know how you feel. Useless. Forgotten. Another person to get in the way." With each word oricon's posture slumps down. "I wanted to help, like you. But you get pushed farther back until there is nothing you can do." - His face softens into a small smile as Arcus quickly improves under the power of the healing stone. The piece of orc blade is carefully set aside, for much can be learned of the particular orcs who made it by those with careful eyes. Even healing stones have their limitations, so the main wound is bandaged to help it heal. The main danger over, the healer moves onto the less critical injuries, caring for each of them from the largest to the smallest. Since he has to concentrate less and Arcus is conscious, he starts talking, "You'll be okay, the danger's over. Don't worry, we'll take good care of you.   - Mai'tsa as well, having nothing to do and now certain that the worst is over and she has absolutely no business here any more, decides to meander off on Adwen's trail for whatever random reason her mind can come up with. - "Well, is anybody going to offer an explanation here? I for one would really like to know why someone would stumble in here with an axe in his side, being orc made none-the-less. If you are up to it Arcus, we would really, really like to hear your story. After-all we all wanted to get you help, so it is the least you can do, what with worrying us and all of that.   - Arcus shifts a little to get himself more comfortable. "Well, as I was dreaming a few nights ago, my father's spirit came to visit me. He spoke of an ancestoral sword that my people would go on a hunt for, when their ancestors came to them. He told me that I must go in search of this blade. As I was hunting for the blade, I came upon a group of Orcs, speaking of an attack on this place. I shot three of them before any of them noticed, but there were 20 of them against me. It was too much for me to handle, so I ran off, trying to lose them. Well, I did, but not before being wounded badly. I have been in search of here for three days, and all my herbs have been used, when I finally made it here. Any further, and I might have died." (NT) -- Arcus, 13:19:01 10/25/03 Sat
    - 'Well then. I suppose I owe you an apology. You have come here to save all of the wonderful people of this colony. I need to get this message to the council. Do you know how many orcs are headed this way? We need to get as much information as possible before going to the council." Catica starts to look worried. She has just gotten to this wonderful colony, and now it is under attack. She mutters under her breath,"Great, everywhere I go seems to have destruction trailing after me. Why is this?" - Raven shifts slightly, frowning. "You went into the Forest by yourself to look for a sword you've only heard of in a dream? Why? Did you really think that was a good idea?" The tone of her voice steadily becomes more sarcastic. (NT) -- Raven, 09:25:23 10/28/03 Tue
- Miirielhael puts a hand gently on Raven's arm, "Raven, is that really necessary? It doesn't matter much why he was in the forest, or if it was a good idea to be there. What matters is that he's hurt and needs healing more than a reprimand, something that's not really your place to give, and that he's brought back valuable information that will help keep the Colony safe." she says, quietly and gently, trying to convince Raven to calm down. - Raven appears in the doorway, and does her customary scan of the room. Seeing Catica, she frowns slightly, as if puzzled. She quietly approaches, stopping out of reach of the staff, and clears her throat. "Excuse me." (NT) -- Raven, 10:08:35 08/23/03 Sat

- The sound of others talking causes Miirielhael to come out of her quiet mood, and notices the two quite close to her for the first time. She plays a few notes of closing for her free-form ballad, and starts playing a second, more energetic tune. After a few bars, it's clearly one of the halfling style, though not a specific song, and seems to be a song quite out of the ordinary for an elf to play. - I first heard that song when I was 5. It has been 10 years now since then. I think my mother used to play that for me. I have little recollection of my childhood before I was found wandering in the forest and was adopted by the village there. (NT) -- Catica, 15:53:41 09/10/03 Wed
- The smile of Miirielhael widens at the questions, but she doesn't answer any until she is done with the song. Fortunately, the song doesn't take long to play, because of it's quick and jolly rythum. Once she finishes the last note, she laughs at the questioning expressions of the other two. "Oh, just something my father taught me." she says quicky, and teasingly pretends to leave it at that until the instant before more questions can be thought of and asked, when she gives the full answer. "My father was a musician and travelled quite widely before he met my mother. He always tried to learn songs from the places he visited, and would trade a few songs for food and a bed. He passed through halfling land quite a few times, I believe. As I was his daughter, he naturally taught me and my brother to love music, and any of the songs we wanted to learn. I took a lot more advantage of it than my brother though, I must have more of my father's blood in my veins." She shrugs and smiles. (NT) -- Miirielhael, 16:52:15 09/12/03 Fri

- Miirielhael smiles, pleased that Catica is so very pleased. "I'm not sure exactly where he traveled, he told so many stories of so many different places. It seemed like he went pretty much everywhere at some point or other. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that included the halfling village in Alistra." she shrugs, "I do know a few more halfling songs, let me think." She furrows her brow a moment, before bringing her flute back to her lips, and suddenly launching herself into a very fast jig, of the sort that makes the dancers to the music hard pressed to keep up. The tempo causes Miirielhael's fingers to fly up and down her flute. She gets a look of concentration, managing to keep most of her fingering accurate. (NT) -- Miirielhael, 19:59:40 09/19/03 Fri
- Catica hears what it is that Miirielhael is starting to play and just can't keep her feet still. She starts dancing about the floor, trying to keep in time with this lovely quick jig. Soon she starts beconning for Raven to start dancing as well. "Come on, it's lots of fun." She starts dancing around Raven hoping that Raven will get the itch to start dancing as well. - Doesn't have time to pay much attention to her listeners, for the flute requires most of her attention, but seeing Catica start to dance, she starts feeling a bit of a competative spirit. She increases the speed of the already fast music, challenging Catica to keep up, and at the same time, challenging herself to be able to play it that fast at all. - As Miirielhael increases in speed, Catica starts panting and exerting all of her envergy in keeping in time with the music that Miirielhael is so excellently playing. pants, "I didn't know that this song could get this fast!" she says while trying to take deep breaths inbetween steps, which are hardly distinguishable as single steps. - The second after Catica gives, so does Miirielhael. She takes the flute from her lips and takes a few deep breaths, for keeping the music flowing is hard on the lungs. Once she gets her wind back, she smiles at Catica, "You're quite welcome, I need to keep myself in practice. That's my secret, I'm always practicing." Her smile fades a bit when Catica talks to Raven, adding her willingness to help with nods in the appropriate places. (NT) -- Miirielhael, 08:23:20 09/29/03 Mon
