The docks...she's avoided even thinking about them for the past several years, ever since... She abruptly pulls away from Chaos' p, sobbing, but has no strength to run, much less stand. • Chaos turns and looks carefully at the two girls. He felt a strong urge to get Lialye lying on a couch, and he'd have a nice chair and a clipboard...Well, even if she did need psychological help, he still was curious as to why docks frightened her. "Relax, Lia," he soothes while walking towards her, "it's okay. It's gonna be okay. We're here to listen, we're here to make all this go away."   • Naverin walks over to Lia and sits down beside her. "He's right Lia, just talk to us, we are here to listen. • OOC: Um...sorry. I died? And I will die again very soon? *hides* BIC: For a long time Lialye says nothing, merely slumping against Naverin and weeping. Finally she cries herself out, and after another while of merely sitting there and calming down, she speaks in a distant, thick voice: "Luc’s been d – gone for ten years now. He…he was always more than just a brother to me; he was my best friend, my teacher, my protector…why, I can still remember the time he…no.   • Chaos reamins silent for a moment. Trying very hard not to allow the story to relate, he replies, "Oh." He then allows the somber silence to return. He could sympathize but...well, what could he do? He returns to his wall of drawers and cabinets, opens a far-reaching door and pulls out some home-made chocolate.     • Naverin looks slightly shocked at Lialye. She had never heard so much about her past until now. By hearing all of this, the time she had known Lia, everything that she has known about her all seems to piece together with this. "Oh Lia! I'm so sorry, I never knew!" • Chaos doesn't reply at first. He seems caught up in a world of his own. After a while, he decides on an idea, "Well...the beach is out of the question. Hrm. It's up to the child, really. We could stay in here and hope she'll calm herself. A bit of sleep can do wonders." Chaos stretches, "However, I find that when I need to calm down a walk does me good. • OOC: Oooh, chocolate! BIC: Lialye gradually begins to calm down slightly, leaning against Naverin and absently fingering the chocolate in her hands as she stares, unseeing, at it. Now, chocolate being chocolate, the chocolate in her hands slowly begins to melt, because, well, it's chocolate. Chocolate should come with a warning label that says "Warning: Eat quickly or will melt and get your hands all sticky." Well, it doesn't. And, Lialye being spacy as she currently is - she's not really aware of any of her surroundings at the moment - it takes a while for her to realize that the soft brown stuff in her hands is, well, melting. And getting a bit sticky. She grimaces. "What is this stuff?" she asks with a slight sniffle, poking the now quite soft pieces of chocolate with one finger. -- Lialye, 11:27:48 06/18/04 Fri

Lialye mumbles, somewhat hesitantly taking the offered hand and standing up before dropping the hand - she's still seeing bits of Luc's memory in Chaos - and walking unsteadily to [wherever it was she left her quarterstaff/walking stick...yay for memory like Swiss Cheese!] before following Chaos to the door. She wasn't paying attention a moment before, however, and has absolutely no clue where they're going, but doesn't feel too much like asking.
