Terry, I think I know the answer to the question that haunts you about the Erickson decision. You asked why do you fire Mariucci when others were willing to make him one of the highest paid coaches in the NFL? Well that is exactly the reason. Money. York knew that Mariucci was expecting and going to get a big payday and as a business decision they felt they could get more bang for their buck from an Erickson, Green, Cottrell etc... Is Erickson an upgrade? I think so but even if he isn't he saved the owners millions and ladies and gentlemen in the York 49er organization, profitability plays a bigger part in decision making than it ever has. Eddie D is gone and everybody needs to get over it and accept the fact that this is now a business first and football team second. I totally agree with you about Jim, I totally suck, Mora Jr. The offense is not the problem with these niners. When you have no pass rush and don't know how to design a blitz package you are going to get scored upon even by teams with a marginal offense like NY and Tampa. Goodday.
