Mooch won only two playoff games in 6 years and both were barely pulled out at the last second. He was not hired by the current owner and Donahue and Walsh were not even with the team when he was hired and both of them wanted to get rid of him for years. He was not a good coach and was holding the team back. I could go on and on but I think those alone are fine reasons to fire the loser and get him as far away from the team as possible. As far as I am concerned they waited years too long to fire him and if they had kept him on that would have signaled to me that the front office was content to have a perpetual mediocre franchise that made the playoffs on most years but would always be outcoached by other playoff caliber coaches around the league and it would have meant no more super Bowls at all,ever. Thank God Mooch is gone and we should all feel sorry for Detroit. TIM
