Tim Tim Tim, slow down buddy. First, I never said that the Niners draft last year was a bad draft just average. After all I rated it a c. OK so I rated it a c- after further review I will concede to a C. What would you grade last years draft Tim? If you say an A I strongly disagree. To say that it was one of the best drafts in many years I think is a strech None of the sports publications rated it higher than a C. In fact I even saw some D ratings. I think that the 2000 draft (Peterson, Plummer ect) was an A draft. I also think that 2001 was an A draft with Carter ect. The other reason I say the 2002 draft was average is because the niners did not address thier needs at wide reciever and a pass rusher. instead of aggessively going after an impact player they decided to stand pat. I agree Rasaad is a niece player and Eric Heitman was a steal in the sixth round (I believe it was the 6TH?) I think that Brandon Doman and Josh Shaw are still question marks. Am I being too hard on the Niners here? I would like to know what you guys think. How would you rate the last three drafts. Secondly, let me clarify. I agree the niners did well in free agency last year. Tony Parrish is great and Ron Stone is one of my favorite players. The layed back trend that I am talking about started after the free agency period with last years draft. I think Tim, that where we resectabilly disagree is that you think that the main problem with the Niners was Mooch and that now that he is gone that Erickson Dnahoue and company will lead us to the promised land. I feel that the main problem is with the front office. There are to many chiefs and not enough indians, and that a troubling layed back trend developed after last years draft could prove to be desastorous if it continues. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.
