Just thought I'd fill y'all in on the exciting adventures that make up my life.

My mother, father, grandmother and I left for Florida last Saturday. We were having a terrific time until Monday evening around 5:30pm or so. That's when my grandmother slipped in the shower and fell and broke her hip.

Yee. Ha.

So, I spent Monday night in the Emergency room in Panama City before driving back to the beach house and (*finally*) washing all the saltwater off then collapsing into bed. We didn't want to miss the Ortho doctor the next morning so we headed out again about 6:30am then waited on the doctor until 11am. The doc said my grandmother could go home and have surgery there if she could stand the pain. And since my grandmother had said (while lying in the shower immediatly after the fall), "If my hip is broken, I'm going home to have surgery. I. Am. Not. Staying. Here. For. Surgery." So the next few hours consisted of getting transportation for her, prescriptions filled, and something to eat before shipping my dad off with my grandmother. Mom and I then headed back to the house to pack up, pack the car, pack the kitchen and all the groceries we had just bought, take a quick walk on the beach and head back to Chattanooga.

Yee. Ha.

We made it home around 4:15am Wed morning. Grandmother had surgery on her hip Wed night and is doing really well. She may be able to come home Saturday (Er, is that tomorrow or today?!?LOL).

I should have gone back to work. I really should have. But there was so much to do and I've been working on finishing the downstairs bathroom in between hospital visits.

Now I'm off the stay the night at the hospital so I hope to see y'all later this weekend.

Hope everyone else's vacation this summer goes better than mine. =D
