"Oh..." he says, and looks sympathetic. There is a silence shattered by the sounds of a piano upstairs, playing the same notes over and over, then sometimes adding something new at the end. George groaned. "We should've known better than to put the piano in John's room... he's gonna be plinking away all night on that thing by the sound of it. Wonder what he's writing..."

John, upstairs, banged away on the piano, trying to make a song to go with some new lyrics he had just written, and, as a matter of fact, was still writing, for he reached over and scribbled something nearly illedgible on a piece of paper. John then set back to plinking the keys, changing parts, and adding them...
