His eyes darted for a moment, not allowing themselves to meet hers. He was the one who had broken up with her, he shouldn't be feeling so bad - he had encouraged her to find someone that wouldn't treat her so poorly, but it was perhaps that it was Harvey and not some random fellow that he didn't know. He knew that Harvey could provide the same kind of material luxuries that he helped her to enjoy, he figured he was a good replacement. "I.. I'm not really sure what to say, Lace.."

I just didn;t want you to find out through someone else and be hurt that I couldn;t be honest with you... if nothing else we've always been honest with each other..." She cared a lot about his feelings- and she didn;t want to hurt him- but five weeks was a long time... and he had broken up with her and told her to find someone else.
