Subject: She felt her heart sink a little as she heard everyone shout happy new year and got caught up in a few hugs and pecks ont he cheeks from various people- most of whom she did not know. She told herself not to be so silly- it was just a silly tradition- it didn;t mean anything. She returned everyones smiles and accepted a second (and final) glass of champagne to see in the new year with, finally locating Ryans father and mother and exchanging heartfelt hugs with them both. She hugged Eliza again, talking into her ear above the music "Have you seen Ryan?"
