Subject: Silas Eugene Osburn

I am sorry for the miss information I posted about Silas Eugene Osburn being the founder of Eugene Oregon. It was told to me that he had a drug store there and that the town was named for him. It is possible that he was one of the first settlers and did have a drug store in what is now Eugene. I was told that he came west to work in the gold field. He was the grandson of the Osburn who stowed away on from England to come to the colonies. If anyone has any information about his. What part of England he was from, or any infomation it would be greatly appreciated.Silas Osburn is the half brother or my gr grandfather James Osburn born Aug 30 1858 Ottumwa Ia.
