Hi Everyone. I did a search for the 511 engineers in Vietnam and came across this site. I was in AnKhe Vietnam from June 6th 1966 to June 11 1967. We drove Dump trucks all around our base and down to QueKnon and up to Pleikue hauling rock, fill dirt etc. Although we were a Panel Bridge outfit we were mostly use for out Dump Trucks. I remember that we hauled crushed rock to a firebase for trapped US troops in Pleikue to help build a landing base for some trapped troops. I hope they made it out OK and that I helped in a small way.
Thanks for all our fellow troops there that I served with.
