Post 327 A: Are you a descendant of Charlemagne

From: sandwalk.blogpot.com/2009/10/are-you-descendant-of-Charlemagne.html

I would have added an (http colon foreword slash, foreword slash) to that but this site (voy) is having a tough time dealing with that.

Article:
"It may seem like a ridiculous question to ask whether you are a descendant of Charlemagne, who was crowned Emperor on December 25, 800. If you live in Asia or Africa, or your ancestors are from Asia or Africa, then you are probably not a descendant of Charlemagne.

But if any of your ancestors lived in Europe, especially western Europe, then it's almost certain Charlemagne is one of your ancestors. No matter where your ancestors are from they probably share a common ancestor with everyone else from that region. What's surprising is that many of those common ancestors lived only 1200 years ago."

This, of course, makes everyone of European ancestry, especially western European ancestry, of Royal Blood.

I took the first page, one of nineteen, to work with me. I work for the state of Alabama. I read the above first page aloud to a friend. There is nothing in it to give offence to anyone. I would have thought those who do not share this European heritage would be happy for those who do. Well that's what I and anyone who is reasonable would think. But apparently not, someone of African descent overheard me and called me a "racist"!

I wonder, since when do Black people have to be included in everything? Let's face it, there's some things neither the government nor the NAACP can get them! European ancestry just happens to be one of those things.

I cannot claim to be a descendent Genghis Khan, Mongol ruler of the largest empires in world history, because I'm not Chinese or in any descent Asian or even American Indian that I have been able to find. Perhaps Genghis Cohen, but not Genghis Khan. My genealogy is European and apparently near eastern. That may be Hebrew or it may be from Vikings selling women caught from the Black Sea region as slaves to homes, families and Vikings in Norway and Sweden. This J2b1b DNA finding its way to Ireland with the women, wives and daughters, of the Vikings.

On the internet I did find, however, a Mary Klein, 1717-1738, daughter of Moriz Klein, abt. 1685, and his wife Anna Catherina Marzloff, b. before 1695. She was wife of J.W. Bast. Whether she is an ancestor at this point is hard to tell.

White people, a.k.a. Caucasian, feel strongly about their, our, ancestry, heritage and genealogy. One might say ownership of our heritage is our "N" word. If one choses Charlemagne as a benchmark for royalty would mean the more European DNA, a.k.a. ancestry, one has the more royal they are.

It's odd how some ignorant people banter around the term "racist" like a child who has found its father's loaded gun; destroying everything in sight. Or at least trying to. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who cannot understand how we descendants of European ancestors feel about our ancestry is a niggardly type of person.

niggard [ME, of Scand origin; akin to ON hnoggr niggardly; akin to L cinis ashes - more at INCINERATE] : a meanly covetous and stingy person : MISER - niggard adj.

niggard.ly /-le/adj 1 : grudgingly mean about spending or granting 2 : provided in meanly limited supply. - Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary (1978).
