Post 348 A: Journal of the Principality of Doggerland, 01
I am going to quote some of the tenets of the Principality and Grand Archduchy of Doggerland.
"In Germany, the constitution of the Weimar Republic in 1919 ceased to accord privileges to members of dynastic and noble families. Their titles henceforth became legal parts of the family name, and traditional forms of address (e.g., "Hoheit" or "Durchlaucht") ceased to be accorded to them by governmental entities. ...The actual rank of a title-holder in Germany depended not only on the nominal rank of the title, but also the degree of sovereignty exercised, the rank of the title-holder's suzerain, and the length of time the family possessed its status within the nobility (Uradel, Briefadel, altfurstliche, neufurstliche,...). Thus, any reigning sovereign ranks higher than any deposed or mediatized sovereign. ...However, former holders of higher titles in extant monarchies retained their relative rank, i.e., a queen dowager of Belgium outranks the reigning Prince of Liechtenstein. Members of a formerly sovereign or mediatized house rank higher than the nobility. Among the nobility, those whose titles derive from the Holy Roman Empire rank higher than the holder of an equivalent title granted by one of the German monarchs after 1806." Royal and noble ranks - Wikipedia
The English Royal House of Windsor is in reality the German House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
"The feudal or prescriptive baronies of Scotland used to be attached to a piece of property called a 'caput' which was a building, castle or manor house of some kind. From this the landlord controlled his property; and from it the barony usually took it's name. With the transfer of the caput to a new owner meant the transfer of the title, baron. The first Scottish Executive on 28 November 2004 abolished the feudal system by the: 'Abolition of Feudal Tenure etc. (Scotland) Act 2000." partly from Wikipedia, (Scottish feudal barony).
The baronies then became "incorporeal hereditaments", not attached to the land. They remain the only genuine degree of title in the UK nobility capable of being bought and sold. It was not only feudal baronies that were affected but also feudal lordships and earldoms.
Scotland was not the first to create incorporeal hereditaments though. In France Napoleon during the Old Regime ended feudalism and created a connection to land called a "majorats."
The King of France (Louis XVI), pre-1789, had created some purely nominal titles as high as Marquis without being connected to any land. Thus the first incorporeal hereditaments, at least that I am aware of.
If one types in "Are you a descendant of Charlemagne" into a search engine such as google one gets ".sandwalk.blogspot.com/2009/10/are-you-descendant-of-Charlemagne.html" just add the three w's to the front of it.
On this site one finds: ..."if your ancestors lived in Europe, especially western Europe, then it's almost certain that Charlemagne is one of your ancestors."
Charlemagne was crowned Holy Roman Emperor on Christmas Day in the year 800 A.D. . Thus, the line is not only Royal, but also Imperial.
I, Michael Dave Barnes, claimed the title of Grand Royal Sovereign Prince of Doggerland, and Grand Archduke of Doggerland as an incorporeal hereditament. This due to the fact that I am of Royal and Imperial descent, and also due my claim on it under the Uniform Unclaimed Property Act (1995). I am of DNA R1b1a2a1a1a and a further test revealed that I am also R-Z381 Y-DNA.
I have also claimed the incorporeal hereditament title of 'Scottish Baron Lochaber, Lord of Lochaber' since 14 March 2007. This due to the fact that I had purchased it. The Herald of Scotland now states, "there cannot be more than one Lord." This was never stated as being the case when I purchased my title. Thus I claim it under a grandfather clause. The fact that my great, (x 19 generations), grandfather, Alexander MacAlister, born 1370, was Lord of Lochaber, I would hope would add some strength to the matter.
There are many titles in my family line that are abeyant. Due to the personage which claims sovereignty it the areas that were former sovereign kingdoms in which many of the titles lay. One cannot expect them to be issued to the rightful members in the hereditary family line.
Other titles that I claim are:
Duke of Kartvelia, Ri Tuaithe Jure uxoris - Colbhasa, Ri de Kippen (de jure), Marquis of Clermont (de jure), Marquis of Charleton on Scarborough (Doggerland), Count of Frisia (Doggerland), Count de Puryer (Doggerland), Graf Van Harlingen (de jure), Vicomte de Porhoet (de jure), Viscount of Barne (Doggerland), Chatelain of Knybbeworth and Cymry, Baron of Powys (de jure), Knight Templar of the York Rite, Knight of Malta of the York Rite, Knight of the Red Cross of the York Rite, Baronet of Great Britain [of Charleton Tower, in Tyndale and Helseyside, near Bellingham] (de jure), Baronet of Nova Scotia [Alexander] (de jure), Baronet of Cornouaille (Doggerland), Scottish Baron Lochaber.
The Principality and Archduchy of Doggerland is not answerable or under the control of any other sovereign or nation save myself, Sir Michael Dave Barnes. It does not answer to Queen Elizabeth II Windsor, nor to the Royal Houses of the Netherlands (Nassau-Orange and their descendants) or Belgium (Saxe-Coburg-Gotha). Nor to Spain, France or Germany.
As Sovereign I have the right to issue writs, assign posts and grant titles, etc., etc. All of which I do when need. No one has my power of attorney or my proxy to do, sign or say anything concerning myself or my business. I have NEVER given this power or right to anyone. I do not have a grand and shiny web sites. What little I do have one can see by typing in 'Grand Prince of Doggerland' or 'Grand Archduke of Doggerland' into a good search engine. My web pages should come up. I can also be found on facebook under "Grand ArchDuke of Doggerland." At least at this time and date. My thanks to you for viewing my website. I wish you peace. - Sir Michael D. Barnes, Grand Prince and Grand Archduke of Doggerland.
