They're so gorgeous, but it does take a lot of work to get rid of them once they've fallen. We have a guy across the street who has the NOISIEST lawn equipment. Noisy mower in the summer, horrendously loud leaf blower in the autumn. Spends four hours each weekend day with some whiny machine or other while we're trying to do yardwork, play with Dylan, or just sit outside and enjoy a quiet moment. I keep saying I'm gonna go over there and say something, but what can I say? He's taking care of his property and he's a nice guy.

My bigger "beef" is the goon who walks his two bear-sized dogs every morning and 6:00am - without any type of doggie clean-up paraphernalia. Yeah. I left a note in their mailbox once about how kids play hockey, folks walk their stroller-laden kidlets, etc, on these streets - and I hope they'll bring a plastic bag when they walk their dogs. I even put my name/address - that took courage. I don't like anonymous complaints. But, nothing happened. There are still piles of crap on the road. It's just not right...

I'd like to hear what happens with your neighbor, Tarn. He probably thinks it was some giant galestorm that brought those leaves back to his property.
