His daily routine
Watching feeding birds
And having daydreams

Dreams of his younger days
When he could be outside
Dreams of his wife
When she was his sweet bride

He remembers the garden
They planted with love
Working together
Hand and glove

Her favorites were delphiniums
Returning each year
His are roses
Planted for his sweet dear

He sits by the window
His daily routine
Waiting for her to come
Lost in daydreams
