She just didn't know if she wanted to spend anytime with him at all - it would just make it hurt more then it already did. She let out a slow breath, trying to calm her emotions down and keep her strength up. She just couldn't handle being hurt anymore.

He sighed in quiet frustration - he couldn't stand to think too much farther in the future. For now, his number one concern was the fact that she was seriously ill. She didn't have just a cold, he had a feeling that it was something worse than that and he just wanted to see her feeling better again.That was about as far in the future as he wanted to think right now.
