Subject: She swallowed, her head dropping to his shoulder as her eyes closed again - just purely exhausted. She was running a bit of a fever but that was nothing new - she just wished she felt as hot as her skin did. "Thanks..." She murmured, her voice barely more then a whisper as she didn't even bother to open her eyes to see where he was taking her. She didn't care anymore. She was just to tired, to exhausted to care about anything anymore.

  • He held her closer to his side and pulled his warm, heavy coat closer around her as they headed out out into the cold. He was left in just a thin black sweater, but he could handle the short walk to his car, and so just supported her as they made their way slowly to where he was parked - from a distance, and in the dim light out there, they looked merely like a couple out for a stroll. He helped her into his car and then hurried around to the driver's side - starting the engine and pulling out just as the red lights of the ambulance appeared in his rearview mirror to stop at the diner. Sighing quietly, he glanced over at her - she really should be getting checked out by those paramedics and going to the hospital, but he knew that she couldn't, and so he headed for his place...
