• He answered his phone fairly quickly... he was 'working' though he had done his deliveries and was wasting time until he had to go back to the depo and clock out. "Hey baby girl" Her ID had flashed on his screen - even just the sight of it made him smile "Where are you?" • "Just leaving work..." She was the same way - her features softened and a smile lit her lips the moment that he answered. Her free hand shoved into the pocket of her jacket to stay warm, and she crossed the street to walk in the sun - there wasn't much warmth in the light, but there was a little bit more than when she got caught in the shade of the buildings that she was walking past. It was definitely winter - she couldn't wait until it snowed. "What're you up to?" Her tone was affectionate and she was obviously calling just to check in - she much preferred to be with him more often than not, and he was on his mind all the time, and so the result was an astronomical phone bill. • He turned and headed towards her work in the work pick-up, all the tree's having been emptied from the back and delivered to their new homes. It was temporary work but it was great pay- compares to other jobs he could be working. "You need a lift? I'm done for the day" He loved spending time with her more than most others, excluding his brother of course... she got him and understood him and knew what he needed. • She smiled again at that and nodded enthusiastically - though he couldn't see her of course. "Yeah, it's cold out here! I'm walking towards that bus stop by the beach..." She gave him a description on where he could find her, and slowed down his walking a little, tucking the phone behind her ear and shoulder so that she could shove both of her hands into her pockets. "You're all done? How did things go?" She was proud of him for this job - it wasn't the best thing to be doing and it was only temporary, but every little bit helped and it was totally legit and that was what was important. • It was his first move away from hustling cars and other illegal activities- she gave him a reason to stay out of prison and he wasn;t going to be stupid enough to loose her twice. So sure- the job was kinda slack and nothing to brag about- but it was good legal money and it was a step int he right direction for him. He had ambition though and was sure he'd get somewhere once he'd figured out what he wanted to do. "No problem... yeah it was good... pretty easy." It didn;t stretch him too far but it was a free truck with gas paid until christmas, and then work after christmas picking up and disposing of the tree's. "How was your day?" • That was the thing that she'd always known too - that as soon as he knew where he wanted to go with his life, she believed completely that he could and would get there. She smiled a little and ducked her head a little while she walked, pulling the collar of her jacket up higher around her neck - she'd forgotten her scarf that morning in her rush to get out the door on time. "It was alright. Pretty slow, didn't really feel like being there..." • She glanced over her shoulder whenever she heard a car coming in hopes that it would be him with a nice warm vehicle and ride to wherever she was going - but no luck yet. "Yeah, yeah. I know..." She agreed wryly and smirking a little, then shrugged to herself, lips pursing gently. "I don't know... I don't have anything planned. What about you? Something in mind?" She still had to do some Christmas shopping, but didn't really feel like braving the mall crowds on such a nice day - besides she still had a couple weeks left. She performed best under pressure. • She agreed with a small, affectionate grin - there was always something for them to do around here, even if it was just lounging on the couch with the TV on she was happy. "No doubt. We're innovative - we can figure something out." When he pulled up, she tucked her phone into her pocket and then hopped in with a bright smile. Scooting close to him on the seat, she pressed a quick kiss to his jaw, then pressed her ice-cold nose to his cheek playfully. "It's cold out there!" She squeezed his knee gently and buckled up before settling in to the seat - it was nice that he had the vehicle for free, even if it would only be for the month. "Thanks for picking me up, love." • He shied away from her cold nose, protesting plafully before tucking her under his arm for a minute and pressing a kiss to her temple, his eyes on the road as he continued driving "No problem... " He had tried to rush through his deliveries knowing she had the afternoon off and wanting to get done in time. "You're frozen... you're definately not a snow baby huh? • "You can take me away skiing on a romantic getaway! Just means we'll have to spend a fair amount of time indoors warming up." She teased with an affectionate wink, her head tipped back so that she could watch him as he drove - complete adoration softening her features. "I am frozen too... Let's crank up the heat... And you wanna head home? I'm kind of hungry. We can get lunch and figure out what we want to do..." • He grinned a little at her response and tried not to spend to much time dwelling on how they would spend their time indoors warming up- trying to concentrate on the road- she didn;t make it easy bringing ideas like that into his head. "Yeah good thinking... home it is then" He would be sweating by the time they got home- he actually prefered being cold to warm- he was much happier cold than hot, and being cold didnt bother him int he least, but he wouldnt deny her anything. "In Nina's magasine it says sauna's are good for your skin... so at least I've have clear skin even if I'm running out of oxygen" He winked at her playfully with a bit of a smirk.
