Another sun-soaked season fades away...


Even though Cash didn't really need supervision twenty-four hours a day anymore, she was still living in the house and doting over him more often than not. Tonight though, she was 'off' for the evening and had met a friend from the hospital for dinner in a little restaurant along the boardwalk, but was now out sitting in the sand by herself. The sun was long-gone for the night, and though her denim cut-offs were quite short and she wore only flip-flops, she wasn't too cold - it was actually warmer than she thought it would be, and the black hoodie that she wore zipped partway up over the white bikini top was helping to keep out the chill. There was no real reason that she was out there on her own, besides just that she had no where else that she really needed to be, it was a nice night, and she was perfectly comfortable. Plus, there was no saying how many nice nights would be left in the summer - soon it would be rainy every night, and then snowy, and that would mean definitely no short shorts and probably not a whole lot of just hanging around. Summer was winding down, and even though she no longer had the drag of school to worry about, melancholy always still seemed to set in for some time...
