Subject: He shook his head as he watched her before he stood up and took out his wallet, laying down a fifty to cover his drinks and still left her with a hefty tip. His eyes lingered on her for a moment before he turned, heading towards the door, pronounced limp accenting his still somehow arrogant stride. Once outside, he paused to light a cigarette, the flash of the lighter reflecting off the silver dog tags around his neck in an eery fashion. He thought back over what the girl had said to him and it struck him that she had said she was walking home. Dark eyes took in the view around him and he found that the thought of her walking in this neighborhood didn't sit well with him. Shifting, he slipped into the shadows and leaned against the wall, waiting for her to come out.

  • She called a thanks after him even though she knew it would be lost on him and watched for a moment as he made his exit - and found herself hoping he came back sometime. Guys like him - who resisted ogling and were interested to try and figure out - were always welcome, in her opinion. She then hurried about her tasks - because they hadn't been too busy and she had had some help earlier in the night there wasn't much left to do - and so was done before too long. She disappeared into the staff room to say quick goodbyes to whoever else was back there and to get her things, and then slipped out the backdoor after taking a quick peek out of the door to make sure there was no one lurking back there. This was her routine and she was used to it. As she emerged onto the dimly light sidewalk, she glanced quickly right and then headed left, tightening the belt on her charcoal wool coat - only just the hem of her skirt visible beneath the bottom of the three-quarter length coat...
