Subject: She was on her way by the time that he informed her that the guy would wake up, but sped up a little at his words. When she noticed that he was walking with her, she started to protest because she really didn't want to trouble him any more than she already had. She stopped herself before she really said anything though, because really at that moment she didn't mind having someone to walk her home - looking over at him every couple of steps. Once it was established that he was indeed accompanying her, she shifted ever so slightly closer - possibly even unconsciously - just so that her arm brushed his as they walked, her eyes settling straight ahead on her destination. "Thanks..."

  • He just nodded in acknowledgement to her thanks, walking along with her, his hands shoved into the pockets of his jacket as his dark eyes shifted around the streets as they walked as if taking in every corner and shadow to make sure there was nothing else around there to harm her. He couldn't believe she walked this way every night by herself, it just wasn't safe. There were drunk assholes out everywhere and less than safe looking hobo's leering at her as they walked by until he shot them a glare that didn't invite any warning. She was a little girl too, unable to put up much of a fight... (NT) -- Fury, Mon, Sep 25 2006, 9:35pm PDT
