Subject: He saw all of that - every flaw, every hint of fear and anger - even if he didn't understand any of it. A girl had dumped him once because she said that he creeped her out - she felt like every time he looked at her it was like he was reading her thoughts. At her question, he grinned a little and tipped his head back, one brow cocked. "I guess I was more interested in - what are you doing out here, as a girl? 'Case you hadn't noticed, you're outnumbered four or five to one. Mix those odds with a few drinks and a little bit of loneliness, and it's only a matter of time before you get into trouble." He wasn't lecturing at all, and definitely not threatening, simply inquiring.

Sometimes I think I'm happy here, sometimes
Yet I still pretend
I can't remember how this got started
But I can tell you exactly how it will end

  • She couldn't help but laugh a touch at his explanation of his question, her green eyes playing over him for a second before she shrugged bare shoulders, pushing her dark hair off of them so it all fell down her back. "Maybe I am looking for some trouble." She grinned, winking teasingly before she flagged down the tender for another drink. Her eyes went back to him before after she had placed her order, cocking a brow curiously. "Whats a guy like you doing in a place like this? Obviously not trying to find a girl, since the pickings are so slim, as you pointed out." (NT) -- Lysia, Sun, Jun 05 2005, 10:22pm PDT
