She exclaimed before it really registered who was on the phone, and then a sick feeling hit her hard in the gut - as if she knew that she was doing something wrong, but couldn't quite grasp what the problem was. She could meet him somewhere else, and her clothing wasn't out of the ordinary or anything. Really, it was a good idea. She didn't want him to worry about her.

  • His jaw clenched a little, his brow furrowed as he tried to figure out what could cause her tone of ovice to be at that pitch, not to mention the slight fumbling of the words. "Where you at?" he questioned, trying hard to not get upset about this whole situation. He was half tempted to just give it all up, to stop trying, to go back to his womanizing ways, things would be easier then, his heart and chest wouldn't ache so much all the time...It felt like he was drowning in Ella and maybe he just needed some time to breathe.
