Subject: She had crossed his mind as he was leaving, but it wasn't like he could call her and just casually be like 'hey, I'm going out of town for a couple weeks'. Not only was he really not that type of guy, but that was stepping over the line of non-committment that their non-relationship struggled to maintain. He nodded back, and then swiveled around to face the bar once more as he worked on his drink and chatted with the bartender for a while. He was halfway through his second drink before he finally shifted off his stool to head slowly over to her, lingering back from the game for a couple moments - close enough that he couldn't be ignored, but not so close that it was like he was in the game.

  • After just a few moments of him standing there, she sunk the eightball, smiling at the guy and laughing as he demanded a rematch. Shaking her head, she turned to grab her drink, her eyes reaching his as she did so. "Thanks." She raised up the drink to show what she was talking about before she put down her pool stick. It was a slow night and she was bored but not quite ready to head back to the house yet. She felt out of place there, with everyone hooking up and whatnot...she was out on the edge with no one to hold onto. Not like she needed anyone to hold onto, but still, it was the principle of the matter. (NT) -- Lysia, Wed, Aug 24 2005, 11:24pm PDT
